  20. 1.Introduction.
  21.  
  22. What is this? Just a simple,realtime LightWave objects shower. It started as
  23. an idea for LW plug-in, but now you have standalone proggy. At final final
  24. stage it crystalized as a program for fast cataloguing (sure it's not an
  25. english word:) of your ultra-huge libraries of objects. Of course - the
  26. program is small and simple. But it is just a start for us in utility
  27. production.  We, "Humbug Mimetics" won't stop on this one - we plan to
  28. develop more useful, and (hope so) more sophisticated tools.  But now you
  29. can read only about the future of this one.

  31. 2.Requirements:
  32.  
  33. An AGA chipset, Kickstart 3.0 or above.
  34. Libraries: Reqtools.library in the libs: directory
  35.  
  36. 2 megabytes of RAM for simple objects. Reccomended at least 0.5 MB of fast
  37. RAM to gain some speed for objects like the famous cow :), that have more
  38. than 2000 polygons.

  40. 3.Features:

  42. Light View offers:
  43. -showing the LightWave objects,
  44. -showing the objects in some different modes:
  45.     -points,
  46.     -lines (solid, to be honest),
  47.     -simple shading (FLAT),
  48.     -Z-Shade shading,
  49.     -Gouraud shading,
  50.     -fake Phong shading (enviorment mapping),
  51. -three modes of polygon flipping:
  52.     -right faces,
  53.     -left faces,
  54.     -all faces (it helps with some bad converted objects),
  55.  
  56. -free scaling and rotating of the object with mouse,
  57. -automatic animation of the object (rotation),
  58. -nice user interface :),
  59. -full multitasking.

  61. The demo version has some limitations, of course. They're not that big, but
  62. I'm sure they will be enough annoying to register:
  63. -LightView demo can only load objects in its' own, internal format (that's
  64. why program is distributed with some objects).

  80. Future of this program is mostly in yours hands - the feedback, registering
  81. and fact of NOT seeing this program @{"registered" link "Register" 0} version in interesting places
  82. (like Los Endos, Boondocks....).
  83. In simple words - if you want the program to be developped, you have not
  84. only to support it with money, but also care about its' saftey.

  107. relies on you to not give it to other person, or place it on some FTP.  We
  108. have demo version for this.
